Another Wednesday has come and gone. I normally try to stay up later on Tuesday nights to get a few things done in order to take advantage of having the day off on Wednesdays and sleep in. Well I definitely stayed up late last night, but I don't feel like I was productive. I remember going to sleep around 130am and thinking what did I just do for two hours? Of course, today was equally as unproductive because I woke up with a headache again! When I wake up feeling like poop, all I want to do is go back to sleep...so that's exactly what I did...for 3 more hours!!! I finally drug myself out of bed around noon, took a shower, and got on with my day...so much for a productive Wednesday:(
I had a really good conversation with a friend who has been on the TTC train for longer than I have. She told me about an acupuncturist that she was seeing...and I'm thinking I might like to give that a try. I mean really, what have I got to lose? After last weeks disappointing follicle scan, I have an appointment scheduled with a fertility specialist at the end of next week. I know my infertility issues are medical, so I'm curious what the doctors have to say...but I do think it's odd that my mom finds an article about acupuncture helping PCOS and my friend talks to me about it all in the same week. Maybe someones trying to tell me something, hmm? I'm not about to jump on the bandwagon or anything...gotta do some research and all that jazz. I'm just saying, I'm not opposed to some alternative medicine.

Follicle Scan
I have an appointment tomorrow to take a look see how my body is reacting to the clomid. Of course I'm hoping for some good news, but not expecting it. I figure a few different scenarios could play out...
1. I could actually have a dominant follicle...which means this cycle could actually work. One step closer to being pg.
2. I could not have a dominant follicle and just have a bunch of random cysts lying around...meaning clomid did not work. I'm assuming if this is the case, we'll be referred to a fertility specialist. Who knows what tests they will want to run or how long it will all take to get going...but again, one step closer to being pg.
Or my favorite option (and the most unlikely one) 3. The clomid worked and I already ovulated 3 days ago, just like fertility friend is telling me. I was so shocked to chart today and see CHs...seriously?!? on cd9?!? I will say my temps have been unusually high, but I'm not going to count my chickens before my eggs are hatched. Wouldn't that be a story though?
Any way you look at it, whatever the outcome...we're one step closer. Just gotta keep repeating that to myself.
