22 weeks!

Another late entry this week...man, have I been busy! Dynamics show last week, recital this week, nationals next week...when does a girl get a break?!?

How far along-22 weeks, 1 day
Weight Gain-Gained a couple pounds this week...puts my total weight gain to 11.2 lbs. I've noticed that I will gain a couple pounds, then even out and drop some over a few weeks, then repeat. It's like I can't gain weight steadily or something...
Baby Size-About the size of a papaya...each resource I have reports a different size in inches for this week. One says over 7 inches, another says 12 inches...so let's just say baby is somewhere in between. And she weighs somewhere between 12 oz and a pound.

Movement-Bean was pretty active last week, but has calmed down a bit over the weekend. I'm wondering if recital this past weekend was a bit too much for her. After seeing me on stage, my dad commented "you've even got her dancing already!"
Sleep-Still fine...nothing new to report here.
Feeling-It was really hard watching everyone on stage this past weekend...I sort of wish I could have been with them, sort of. I can always come back to the stage next year, or whenever I choose. Being pregnant is growing on me more and more, and I feel like I'm finally able to process that there is a human growing inside of me! It's been such a whirlwind of events the past couple months between competition, rehearsals, two shows, and nationals...I haven't ever really stopped and taken this whole pregnancy thing all in. Of course we're beyond excited!!! And I think it's awesome that so many of my dancers are supportive and excited for us...I just wish I had a little more time to actually enjoy being pregnant...like, I can't believe we're over halfway through already...
What I miss-Dancing
What I am looking forward to-Going to Ikea tomorrow to check out furniture and see what we can find. I've also been having this weird muscle soreness, and I'm really looking forward to finding out if it's normal or not at our appointment tomorrow.
Milestone/Best moment this week-Walking out on stage after finale was over, being announced as Miss Sara, and baby to be<3
To Do-Maternity bra shopping, register or purchase a glider/recliner and dresser x2, have my brother put in the ceiling fan while we are on vacation during the next two weeks.
Food Cravings/Aversions-I refuse to eat meat...that's about all.
Bonus-Nothing for bonus this week. I have to upload all my photos from this weekend, but that might take a little while...

21 weeks

How far along-21 weeks today
Weight Gain-Between all the rehearsals this weekend, I haven't had time to weigh myself....hopefully I haven't gained too much. I feel like I'm really starting to pop out and look "big".
Baby Size-about the size of a pomegranate...weighing about 10 oz. and measuring 7 1/4 inches long

Movement-yup, quite a bit actually. Nothing too strong yet, but I'm definitely feeling more movement then last week.
Sleep-not a problem yet, although it is getting more difficult to switch from side to side in the middle of the night.
Feeling-tired and exhausted. I just want to do baby stuff and plan the nursery out, but I have a few more weeks to get through before I can do that. Dynamics show was this past weekend, recital is this coming weekend, then rehearsals for nationals, then nationals itself and Disneyland. All exciting stuff...but I would kill for a day off right about now.
What I miss-This week, dancing. It was so hard to sit back and watch everyone dance this weekend and not be on stage with them. I know I can still dance, it's just hard to not be able to do the same things I used to.
What I am looking forward to-I'm looking forward to everything in the next couple weeks, but mostly looking forward to after everything is over and I can just relax for a bit.
Milestone/Best moment this week-We went to Babies R Us on Wednesday and started our baby registry. It was fun picking out what car seat we want, but also a little overwhelming. There are so many different baby products out there...how am I supposed to know what the best one to choose is???
To Do-Start registry at Buy Buy Baby, start researching pediatricians...I'm sure there are a million other things that I need to do, but can't think straight right now from exhaustion.
Food Cravings/Aversions-So, I don't want to eat any meat like steak or chicken. I'm craving McDonald's fries and hot fudge sundaes...if I keep eating like this, i'm going to blow up like a blimp.
Bonus-I wish I had pictures from this past weekend, but I was too busy running the show. The Dynamics show was absolutely fantastic! It was as close to flawless as we could get. Sometimes I'm amazed at how far our team has come in 8 years...seriously had an amazing weekend!

20 weeks...Half Baked!

How far along-A little late this week again...20 weeks, and 1 day along. We're over halfway through the pregnancy now...let the countdown begin!
Weight Gain-Still doing well...didn't gain any weight this week. Total weight gain thus far is 8.8 lbs.
Baby Size-About 6 1/2 inches and about 10 oz....we've almost made it to a full pound! Baby is roughly the size of a banana.

Movement-Huge milestone this week! Saturday between dance classes and Dynamics rehearsal, just sitting around eating lunch, I felt baby kick! I was all by myself and had no one to share it with, but I'm almost positive it was a baby kick. Felt a couple more kicks, then nothing for the rest of the day. The kicks didn't really feel like much, so it's possible I felt something before, but maybe they just weren't strong enough yet. It was kind of like someone flicking the inside of my uterus with their finger...but lightly. I was actually surprised as how active baby was for the rest of the weekend and into Monday.
Sleep-Still fine here...
Feeling-Really stressed, but not because of baby. There is so much going on right now with Dynamics, studio stuff, and morning work. I honestly just feel overwhelmed...there is too much on my plate right now. Hopefully after a successful show this weekend, things should calm down. I just can't wait to get going with baby stuff...finish planning the nursery, get all the furniture set, etc. I haven't had time to really enjoy being pregnant...so I can't wait for after nationals when I just get to breathe and enjoy!
What I miss-sandwiches again...I'm in a food rut. I just want to be able to eat a turkey and avocado sandwich again...or have tuna more than once a week. It would make what to eat sooo much easier.
What I am looking forward to-Nothing baby related this time around...our Dynamics show! The team show is this weekend and it's sure to be fabulous...just hope we have a good size audience!
Milestone/Best moment this week-There are two wonderful milestones...1. Feeling baby kick for the first time as I mentioned above....and 2. we had our anatomy scan last friday and found out A. everything with baby is growing as it should and measuring pretty much right on track, and B. We are having a baby GIRL! Bring on the pink! The ultrasound technician said he was 80% positive because  the umbilical cord was hanging a little in the way...but there was no sign of any male genitalia, and these 3 lines they look for when it's a girl were present. So...looks like we'll have to find a fabulous girl name! I'm pretty set on the middle name already, so hopefully we can find a first name that goes well with the middle one I have picked out:)
To Do-Register for baby items, buy glider/rocker, buy rest of nursery furniture...and try not to overspend!
Food Cravings/Aversions-The McDonald's fries are killing me lately! I can't seem to get enough! And their hot fudge sundaes...tell me how I haven't gained 20 lbs already?!?
Bonus-Since we're halfway through, I thought I'd do a comparison of photos taken at 4 weeks and 20 weeks. (pictures from our anatomy scan will be next week's bonus:))

19 weeks!

How far along-18 weeks, 6 days...so close to half baked.
Weight Gain-Now we're making progress...I gained a little over a pound this week. That puts my total weight gain to just under 9 lbs.
Baby Size-Somewhere between 5 1/4 and 6 inches long, weighing about 1/2 a pound...or the size of a mango.

Movement-still waiting, waiting, waiting...any day now...
Sleep-Other than being super exhausted from my crazy, busy, hectic schedule...I think I'm sleeping fine. Actually, I'm probably sleeping better than fine because I'm so exhausted.
Feeling-Slightly big, hehe. My baby bump is really starting to show now, especially since I'm wearing full fledged maternity clothes. We had studio pictures this weekend and people were noticing my bump more than usual. It's nice to be "out" and have people know I'm pregnant, not just because I told them, but because they can see it:) I'm also really, really, really anxious for our anatomy scan...hopefully baby cooperates and we'll know if we're team blue or team pink! I have a feeling this week is going to drag on forever though...
What I miss-Deli meat! Nicki took our togo's orders today for working pictures and I wanted to get a turkey avocado sandwich soooo bad...she wouldn't let me;) I had to settle for chicken instead...I miss my sandwiches:(
What I am looking forward to-Our anatomy scan! Can. Not. Wait!!!
Milestone/Best moment this week-Nothing too fancy...in my class on Tuesday where I teach a bunch of 7 and 8 year olds, we were chatting before class about the baby and one of the girls says "Miss Sara, you're even starting to look pregnant!" It just made me chuckle. Sometimes I think some of my students are more excited about me having a baby than I am...probably not, but it's still cute!
To Do-Have ceiling fan installed in nursery, start looking at other nursery furniture and decor, start baby registry once we find out if it's a boy or girl
Food Cravings/Aversions-French fries and ketchup...and of course my tuna and turkey sandwiches!
Bonus-Countdown to our gender reveal (hopefully!)...5 days!!!
