18 weeks!

This post is going to be short, but sweet...as I'm sure most of my posts for the month of June will be...what a busy month I'm gearing up for!

How far along-Oops, I'm a little late this week...18 weeks, 1 day.
Weight Gain-Only up 7 lbs total...I think that's pretty good so far...although from what I've read, you gain more weight in the next 18 weeks then the first 18.
Baby Size-About 5 1/2 inches long, weighing over 5 ounces...or about the size of a sweet potato!

Movement-This is a tough one for me this week...I know I'm supposed to feel something...and soon. I may have felt something in the past week, but it's so hard to say. Since I'm not completely sure, I'm going to go ahead and say I haven't felt anything yet...Hopefully soon!
Sleep-Pretty good...other than being exhausted from everything I have going on...I think that just makes me sleep better.
Feeling-Like I want it to be the middle of July already. All I want to do is focus on baby stuff...getting the nursery ready, reading my baby books...but I have so. much. going. on! 6 more weeks til freedom...
What I miss-I know I said I miss something within the past week...I just can't remember what that something is right now.
What I am looking forward to-1 week and 3 more days until our anatomy scan, where we can hopefully learn was gender Bean is (assuming Bean cooperates with the ultrasound technician)!
Milestone/Best moment this week-We painted the nursery this past weekend. It was great to have an extra day off for memorial day, so we decided to paint early. We chose a light teal color, but it looks blue in pictures...so when I posted a couple pictures on Facebook, everyone commented "so does that mean you're having a boy?" All fine, I just shouldn't have posted anything until next week:-) We also bought shades for the nursery and our bedroom (finally!)...and a ceiling fan for the nursery. Looks like we got a lot accomplished, huh?
To Do-Look into other furniture for the nursery...glider, dresser, changing table vs. pad on dresser...
Food Cravings/Aversions-I used to love burgers...now just typing this is making me feel nauseous...
Bonus-Some pictures from our nursery being painted this weekend...

17 weeks!

How far along-16 weeks, 6 days
Weight Gain-Wowza...stepped on the scale today...up 3lbs in the last week. Still puts my total weight gain at under 10lbs, so I think I'm doing ok...
Baby Size-Bean is the size of an onion this week...about 5 inches long, and about 5 1/2oz.

Movement-Waiting...waiting...waiting...
Sleep-It's now getting uncomfortable to lie on my back at all during the night. I find myself switching from right side to left side a lot during the night. I'm thinking about getting one of those pregnancy pillows, or possibly using our extra king size pillow for extra cushion.
Feeling-Anxious to feel those first baby movements. A bit fat, but only because I think I'm actually starting to show now. My stomach feels stretched out quite a bit and it's getting harder to bend over all the way and get up and down.
What I miss-Being able to shave my legs comfortably;) Now that it's getting warmer, and I'm getting bigger, I don't know what I'm going to do...
What I am looking forward to-Feeling baby move! Our anatomy scan!
Milestone/Best moment this week-My friend, Keri, had her baby Friday night. She was the one that recommended the acupuncturist to me and was fully aware of all the trouble we had...she could relate because her story is worse than ours. She's been a big factor in keeping my hope alive in our TTC journey, and now in having a healthy pregnancy. She and baby Joey are doing great, and were even sent home from the hospital today. I am so excited we get to share similar experiences, and hearing about her experiences gives me something to look forward to over the next 5 months.
Also, our crib came in yesterday and we picked it up today. The box was absolutely humongous and wouldn't fit in my car, so we took all the pieces out separately...I was nervous having Eric drive home with everything out of the box, but everything made it home in one piece...and no knicks or scratches so far that we can see.
To Do-Finish cleaning out Eric's office so we can paint the nursery! He has almost everything moved out...just another box or two. We will be painting next weekend and then we can put our crib together:)
Food Cravings/Aversions-I had the biggest tuna sandwich on Friday from subway...it was delicious...so hard to stick to having tuna once a week!
Bonus-Not much this week...let the countdown continue to our anatomy scan...2 weeks, 5 days left to go!

Happy Mother's Day-16 weeks!

How far along-15 weeks and 6 days...just shy of 4 months!
Weight Gain-Surprisingly, this week I actually lost weight...not sure if it's water weight or what? I mean I have been watching what I eat so I don't gain too much, and I was particularly active this week because of watch week and running errands on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm down about a pound and a half...which puts my total weight gain to only 4lbs!
Baby Size-Crown to rump length is about 4 1/2 inches and weighs about 3 1/2oz...Bean is roughly the size of an avocado.

Movement-None yet...at least I think! I'm anxiously awaiting to feel any sort of movement over the next few weeks. It's to the point where I haven't gotten big enough to really feel pregnant, and we haven't seen Baby in a while, so sometimes I'm like, "Is there really something in there?" I can't wait to start feeling Bean move around...that will be so reassuring!
Sleep-I feel like I've been sleeping pretty well lately. I've been trying to go to bed earlier so I feel more rested in the mornings. No matter how early I go to bed though, I am still NOT a morning person:) Yesterday, I was so tired from teaching and rehearsing all day, after watching a friend's dance show and grabbing a bite to eat, I was in bed and asleep before 11pm...that is so early for me! This morning I woke up around 730am to go to the bathroom, and then couldn't get back to sleep for another hour or so...that's the first time in a long time I've gotten up before 8am without an alarm clock!
Feeling-A little anxious, somewhat tired, hungry, but not all at the same time. I'm anxious to know everything is ok with Baby, which I suppose will never go away (that's like motherly instinct or something, isn't it?) I'm tired of working all the time and trying really hard not to stress myself out with everything going on with Dynamics in the next month...really looking forward to having Saturday mornings off after June recital. I'm looking forward to getting out of that in between stage of pregnancy (which I'm sure I'll look back on later and say "How could you be so stupid?)...I don't quite look pregnant yet, with a belly bump...I'm afraid people are just thinking I'm getting fat:( It'd be nice to not have people question, fat or bump?
What I miss-I'm not a big drinker or anything, but alcohol. I would've loved having a drink last weekend for cinco de mayo and this weekend for mother's day...just to celebrate! I also miss sandwiches for lunch, or really anytime. I've been trying to cut down on the carbs, so I haven't had too many sandwiches lately...plus the only sandwiches I really eat any way are tuna salad and turkey!
What I am looking forward to-Feeling baby move, finally having an established bump, and our anatomy scan on June 8th...only 3 weeks and 5 days to go!
Milestone/Best moment this week-My moment this week was a wonderful one, yet sad one all at the same time. I told all of the dance classes I teach this week (young and old) that I'm expecting, but I also had to tell my Saturday classes I would no longer be teaching on Saturdays. 3 out of my 4 classes on Saturday are not a big deal...I haven't taught them for too long. I mean I'm connected and will miss them, but it hasn't been that long. My one class though...I've taught a good handful of them since they were 3 years old. I've watched them be in bad moods, not want to dance, and then move past all that...and they're turning into wonderful dancers, they are so good for only being 8! Before I even started in with my announcement, I was bawling like an idiot...then there were parents and students bawling with me once they realized what I was saying. The parents and dancers are so excited for me and Baby, but so sad that I won't be their teacher anymore. It just made me realize how much of an impact I actually have on dancers lives, and had on this class! They will always be my babies and I know they're in good hands with Evelyn teaching them...it just won't be the same until I am their teacher again a few years down the road...
To Do-Not a whole lot for pregnancy stuff...but definitely a whole lot to do for dance stuff...5 weeks til the Dynamcis show and 6 weeks til recital...it's going to be a busy month and a half!
Food Cravings/Aversions-I'm not really craving anything really, not really having anything make me sick. The thought of meat, white or red, has made me lose my appetite lately though. I can eat it, it's just not that appetizing to eat...I kind of just feel like I'm force feeding myself:( (Although tonight, I had the best steak at House of Genji for Mother's Day...yum!) Just this week, I've noticed when I'm hungry, I need to eat right away. But I can only handle a small amount of food before it becomes too much and starts making me feel nauseous and sick. It's like I can't make myself full anymore...or overeat like I used to. Maybe that's another reason why I haven't gained any weight the past couple weeks?
Bonus-We're starting to plan our nursery out...last week we got paint swatches to try to decide what color to paint the nursery (we decided on a very light teal color, that is pretty gender neutral) and this week we bought our crib! Babies R Us had a good deal on furniture, along with a gift card incentive, so we decided to go for it! We won't buy anything else furniture wise, or for the nursery even, until after I'm back from Nationals and Disney in July, but this was a good way to get started and make everything seem more real. We don't have bedding yet, since we don't know the sex of Bean, but here's a picture of the crib we love and bought...

And a picture of me at 16 weeks...I'd have to compare side by side with a picture from before. I don't think I'm showing really yet...maybe just a little:)

15 weeks!

How far along-14 weeks, 6 days...about 3/8 of the way through the pregnancy (that's the math nerd in me!)
Weight Gain-I actually lost weight since last week (amazing!)...puts my total weight gain to about 5 1/2 lbs.
Baby Size-Crown to rump length is about 4 inches, weighing almost 2oz...about the size of a navel orange, or a softball.

Movement-not yet...just a few more weeks away!
Sleep-Not bad...I'm starting to turn more at night because my hip goes numb if I lay on one side for too long.
Feeling-a little frustrated with shopping for maternity clothes. I must be like in between sizes or something because i swear, almost nothing fits right:( I have to go a size bigger in tops because of my chest, and my thighs are still bigger than my waist, so any sort of pants just falls down when I walk or bend over. I cannot wait for my bebands to arrive from Target this week...I'm really hoping that helps me stay in pants for at least a little while longer.
What I miss-Not much other than fitting in regular clothes...tuna fish still, and I really wanted a margarita yesterday for cinco de mayo!
What I am looking forward to-Feeling baby move! And telling all of my classes at watch week this week that we're expecting. I'm not expecting much from the little girls, but we'll see...a lot of them do have younger siblings. I'm also looking forward to the middle of July...when all shows and trips will be over and we can just concentrate on baby stuff!
Milestone/Best moment this week-Had an Ob appointment on Friday, and got to hear the heartbeat again. (Eric and I were scared for a second though, it took a good minute to find the heartbeat...as it turns out my jeans were in the way.) We registered for childbirth prep classes to be taken in August (seems way early to register, but apparently classes fill up fast!).
To Do-Help Eric move out of office so it finally becomes the nursery, decide on paint color for walls, and we decided to buy a crib this month (too good of a deal to pass up at Babies R Us:)).
Food Cravings/Aversions-nothing really that I can think of...
Bonus-Countdown to our Anatomy Scan when we can find out baby's sex (as long as it cooperates)=4 weeks, 4 days
